Life By Design Podcast
In case you haven't heard Bob Harper of The Biggest Loser fame, suffered a heart attack earlier this week.
 
First of all, Bob, if there is some slim chance that you are reading this...Life By Design are fans and we wish you the best! We're all glad that you're doing well and hope for your speedy recovery.
 
Unfortunately, this whole incident has left a bad taste in many people's mouths.
 
"How did this happen, wasn't he supposed to be healthy?"
 
"If he [Bob Harper] did everything right and still had a heart attack; what chance do I have to find health?"
 
And my personal favorite...
 
"I told you there was no point to working out and eating right; it's all up to random chance anyway..."
 
Is there any validity to these claims? Should you just give up on pursuing health? 
 
What we cover:
  • Why it all comes down to mindset and beliefs. I can't make you use your mind, but I can help ask you the right questions. Trust me, there are some days like I feel I'm on borrowed time, which makes diet and exercise all the more important.
  • Never make assumptions based on the news. Knowing what we do about the human body and health, it's unfair to judge why Bob Harper had a heart attack. You don't know his history, state of health or what he did to pursue his health. Go by facts, not stories.
  • What you should do moving forward. There are valuable lessons to learn from something that shakes a belief down to the core. Remember the primary tenant of Life By Design is that reality exists...wishing, hoping and praying doesn't change that fact.
