Like it or not, every year this time comes. Summer is ending and the fall is moving in fast...it means that school is on the way. In some parts of the world, you're kids are already in school. Either way, the start of the school year is an interesting time for everybody. There are new dynamics needing to be dealt with, new relationships, the ending of some relationships, studying, stress, growth, and everything in between. How can you ensure that your child and your whole family adapt to the coming school year in the best way possible? What can you do to increase the likelihood that your child and family successfully meet the challenges of future life at school (and beyond) to the best of your ability...with the least amount of harm? The principle at play is adaptability. There is no question your child and your family will be under stress; the real concern is can you adapt to that stress or is it going to harm you and your child? To be honest, we don't know the answer because every situation is different. However, we can help put your child and your family in the best possible position to handle all the stress. The purpose of this podcast is simple: we are going to talk about the three things you can do to make sure that (above all else) your child and your family are ready to grow and to become better this school year. Finally, Some good news today. In Australia researchers have uncovered a technique to help people overcome peanut allergies to the point where they can tolerate peanuts, and peanut products, for up to four years! More interestingly, the breakthrough came with use of probiotics. Why is this interesting? What the article doesn't mention is that prior to this time the rapid expansion of peanut allergies, and other food allergies, has been in some significant part, thought to be genetic in nature. The underlying idea and one that we don't gloss over, is that by adding a requirement, in this case gut bacteria, there was a completely altered immunological response to a food. A food that in certain sad circumstances can be deadly. Peanut allergies among children, which are now commonplace, seemed to hardly exist even a few decades ago. How can that be? How can a problem that is "genetic", such as peanut allergies have been claimed to be, grow exponentially over the last 20 to 30 years. We're not trying to be cynical, in fact we're thrilled at how many lives this will save. However, we can't ignore the facts and miss the bigger picture. The purpose of this episode is to celebrate a wonderful life-saving achievement and help you understand how you can take the same knowledge and make your life even better. What we covered:

This was an interesting week. On more than one occasion, I was asked the same question many different ways... 1) Why isn't this getting any better? 2) How long until I start to feel better? 3) Is chiropractic working because I don't feel better? 4) Should I keep coming to see you because I don't feel any better? 5) What else do I need to do so I can feel better? 6) I was feeling better, and now I'm back to the beginning, how can I feel better? These are very honest and legitimate questions. I understand that you're not feeling well or that you might be injured. However, the healing process and ultimately fixing the problem follows a certain, very specific path, with all the parts laid out in a way that your body can't afford skip over a certain section. Your body can heal quickly, but it must follow a certain order. On today's podcast, I cover how you can best help your body recover fully and completely from sickness or injury. What we covered:
